In case of a successful registration, then here are some useful tips for you to make the best out of your marathon.

1- Rest Well

Jump to bed. Sleep early. Sleep for 8 hours a day. Do not run to exercise; it is too late. Save your energy for the race.

2- Run Lightly

Your exercise in the last 2 days should only be some jogging for 4 km a day. Make sure you only run on soft surfaces. Do not risk any last minute injuries.

3- Fuel Up and Hydrate

Eat the same kinds of food you have been eating the past few days. Do not risk trying something new. Eat a little more carbohydrates, just do not stuff yourself until bloated.

4- Warm Up Before The Race

Do not just sit there waiting for the race to begin. Think about stepping out of your car on the way to the marathon, and running the last kilometer or 2 before getting to the race.

5- Study The Route

Check out the race path, and make yourself familiar with it. Then form a strategy, and don’t forget to find peeing places.
“All the runners understand that you can’t run when you need the loo.”
